Software development
Custom web and software applications, for when standard tools stop being enough.
When custom software is the right answer
Most businesses should buy software rather than build it. Off-the-shelf tools are cheaper, better tested, and someone else maintains them. We will say so when that is the case, and we have turned down work on that basis.
Custom development earns its cost in a narrower set of situations: when the process you depend on has no product built for it; when the tools you use cannot talk to each other and the gap is being filled by someone re-typing data; when licence costs scale with headcount faster than the value does; or when the workaround holding everything together lives in one person's head.
What we build
- Internal applications — the systems your team works in daily: intake, tracking, approvals, reporting.
- Client-facing applications — portals, booking and ordering flows, account areas.
- Integrations — connecting systems that were never designed to work together, so data is entered once.
- Replacements for spreadsheets that have outgrown themselves and become a liability.
How the work runs
Scope is defined in writing before anything is built, and priced as a fixed amount — never by the hour. You know the cost before you commit, and we carry the risk of our own estimate. Work goes into production tested and documented, and stays maintained afterwards.
Full terms, including the deposit structure and the 30-day functional warranty, are on the terms page.
What you own
Once everything due is paid, you own the deliverables built for your project: the custom code, the configurations, and the documentation. We retain only our own pre-existing generic components. Systems are handed over transferable — another developer can pick them up. We do not build dependence on us into the architecture.
